About Me

Welcome! I’m Christina Alibozek.

 

I recently graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration and a concentration in Marketing from the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. My passions lie in the Wine & Beer Industry, as well as Digital Marketing, and I look forward to combining these in order to succeed in my future career. I first fell in love with the Wine Industry while studying abroad in Bordeaux, France, and have decided to continue this passion by pursuing a career in Wine & Beer Sales! My first step towards this goal was passing the Court of Masters Sommeliers Americas Introductory Sommelier Course this past February. I love the concept of using the internet and technology as a means to enhance the marketing experience, and am excited to be able to combine these emerging technologies with pre-existing sales best practices. I am certified in Google Analytics, Hubspot Content Marketing, and Hootsuite, and am currently in the process of becoming more comfortable with using Smartsheet. I am also familiar with various social media analytics platforms, such as Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, and Twitter Analytics, tools that are instrumental when attracting leads in the digital age.  I look forward to sharing my work with you, and hope we can explore the future of the Wine & Beer Industry together! 

Marketing & Sales are something I am extremely passionate about because I believe they are the keys to creating personal relationships between the consumer and brand. Having worked for a Fortune 100 company, as well as small businesses, I have experience in creating brand loyalty across the spectrum. Combining this with my aptitude for customer service and my results-driven nature, I can achieve great success in this industry. 

I am currently seeking a  full time position focusing on Wine & Beer Sales that will afford me the opportunity to immerse myself in the industry in a professional environment. I am eager to continue enhancing my knowledge about this industry, and am excited to see what the future holds!

 

Work Experience

Marketing Intern
Omaha Brewing Company
  Oct 2019 - Present

Working as a Marketing Intern for Omaha Brewing Company has been a great opportunity for me to increase my knowledge and skillset in marketing, specifically for the Craft Beer Industry. I am extremely interested in pursuing a career in the Beer, Wine, and Spirits industry, so this internship has been a great first step to achieving that goal. While working at OBC I have gained so much first-hand knowledge of the Craft Beer Industry, particularly with regards to the brewing processes and marketing best practices. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Sales, I have been exposed to all aspects of marketing with regards to a small company, particularly in areas of content creation, social media, and event marketing. I run the OBC LinkedIn page, regularly posting original articles, as well as my take on other industry-specific articles, all while understanding the target audience of Craft Beer Industry professionals. I also use WordPress to author weekly blog posts, embodying Omaha Brewing Company voice and brand while implementing SEO best practices. These blog posts have required me to do research on the industry and brewing processes, which is a skill that I am eager to continue applying throughout my skill. Learning more about the industry and how everything functions has been one of my favorite parts of this internship. Other content creation that I am tasked with performing include Instagram stories, short-form video creation, and Canva graphics. Another exciting aspect of this internship is assisting with a product line extension project, in which I am closely assisting with regards to re-branding and re-launching the product Island Rain Hard Seltzer. I have learned so much about the industry already, and look forward continuing to increase my knowledge and skillset! 

Social Media Manager, Intern
Auburn Abroad Office
 Aug 2019 - May 2020

During my Senior year at Auburn, I had the exciting opportunity to intern for the Auburn University Office of International Programs as the Social Media Manager of the Auburn Abroad Office. This allowed me to combine my passions for Marketing and traveling, while also teaching me valuable Project Management skills. In this position, I lead a team of 3 to manage the Auburn Abroad Social Media accounts, which taught me invaluable management skills and delegation skills. Our team's responsibilities included managing accounts including Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, as well as creating marketing materials to distribute on and around Auburn's campus. The position involved me both creating and curating content for daily Instagram feed and story posts, resulting in a 19% follower growth. I also regularly used editing and scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Lightroom, and Unfold to create cohesive posts, Instagram highlight covers, and promotional flyers. I regularly used Excel to create weekly social media reports, using Instagram Insights and Facebook Analytics to track growth and engagement week-to-week. This has resulted in me becoming extremely comfortable with all aspects of running and tracking a successful social media campaign. Separate from my Social Media Manager duties, I also was responsible for performing regular administrative assistant duties. These included keeping the Manager's schedules via Microsoft Outlook, making appointments, responding to email, and regularly giving presentations to groups ranging from 10 - 300 people. These responsibilities increased my proficiencies in project management, customer service, and public speaking, which are all skills that wills serve me well in future endeavors. 

Merchandising Intern,
Disney College Program

Jan 2018 - August 2018​

The Disney College Program was an amazing opportunity that I got the chance to experience. I worked as an intern and cast member at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida--specifically in the Magic Kingdom. The internship required me to relocate to Orlando for 8 months, which is something that increased my comfortability in unfalmiliar situations. In my merchandise role, I was able to deliver exceptional guests services on a daily basis for a Fortune 100 company, interacting with up to 90,000 guests per day. This high-level of guest interaction gave me the opportunity to hone my customer service skills. Other responsibilities of my position included maintaining visual displays and quality control in a high volume area, as well as being responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through prompt, meaningful, and knowledgable interactions. I was also tasked with meeting strict production deadlines while also maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. My participation in the Disney College Program also allowed me to exercise strong communication skills by engaging with both guests and coworkers from international, as well as domestic backgrounds. The skills and knowledge I gained working for Disney are things that will continue to shape my career long after the completion of my internship!

Couture House Interiors 
April 2015 - July 2015

Working at Couture House Interiors was a great opportunity in which I was able to see how a small business operated. At the time of my internship, the company had three employees, so I was able to be extremely hands on. I served as a personal assistant to the premier designer, Andrea Proctor, in areas such as billing, filing, and product inspection. I also interacted with clients both in-person, as well as via email communication. This being my first internship was a great opportunity to dip my toes into working in a professional environment, and working for a small business allowed me to gain practical experience with regards to project management, administrative procedures, and customer interaction. This internship definitley laid the foundation for my future successes!

I recently graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a professional option of Marketing from the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University. During my time at Auburn, I was able to gain many valuable skills through interactions with my peers and professors. My involvement in the Auburn University chapter of the American Marketing Association really shaped my understanding of Marketing best practices. During my membership, I served on the Merchandising and Media Committee, where our primary focus was increasing AUMA's visibility on and around campus through creating merchandise and promoting AUMA via various media platforms. My time at Auburn has greatly prepared me for a future in the professional field, where my aspirations are to explore the Wine & Beer Sales Industry. I am extremely excited to explore the incredible opportunities offered by this storied industry!

KEDGE Business School, Bordeaux, France

January 2019 - May 2019

I was selected to complete a semester long Business Exchange Program at the KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, France. This opportunity increased my skills in planning, communication, problem-solving, and leadership, as well as my industry knowledge regarding Marketing and Supply Chain Management. Learning exciting subject matter such as Luxury Marketing Theory and corporate responsibility with regards to Sustainable Marketing was extremely enlightening, and allowed me to branch out in terms of my education. I was the only Auburn student on the exchange, and one of only 4 American students. Being so completely immersed in a different culture gave me the ability to adapt quickly, as well as learn from my colleagues coming for a myriad of different backgrounds and cultures. My time in Bordeaux is also where I discovered my vast interest in the Wine Industry, and is where I began my Wine knowledge education through various courses, such as Wine Marketing. I really enjoyed the opportunities to gain knowledge of subjects that are not common here in the United States, because it allowed me to broaden my education parameters.  It was an experience that I will truly cherish for the rest of my life.
